In the first quarter of 2023, the top food delivery services in the United Arab Emirates saw varying performance metrics across downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a closer look at the data provided by Sensor Tower.

Food, grocery & more showed significant fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at 26.4K in late December and peaking at 36.9K in the week of February 20. However, downloads declined to 16.7K by the end of March. Weekly active users for the app remained relatively stable, with a slight dip from 410.5K at the beginning of the quarter to 407.9K by the end.

Smiles UAE experienced a downward trend in weekly downloads, starting from 19.6K in late December and reaching a low of 9.9K in early March, before recovering to 13.1K by the end of the quarter. The app's active users saw some fluctuations but ended the quarter with a slight increase from 73.8K to 70.7K.

Deliveroo: Food & Shopping maintained relatively consistent weekly downloads throughout the quarter, ranging between 5K and 6.5K. Its active users remained stable as well, starting at 73.6K and ending at 73.9K.

InstaShop: Grocery Delivery saw an upward trend in weekly downloads, beginning at 3.3K in late December and peaking at 6.8K in mid-February. By the end of March, downloads had declined to 4.4K. Active users for InstaShop increased from 32.9K to 33.7K over the quarter.

NowNow by noon: Grocery & more exhibited a steady rise in weekly downloads, starting at 2.8K in late December and reaching 4.9K by the end of March. The app's active users also increased, from 6.9K to 8.9K during the same period.
